History & Significance
The temple’s origins date back to the miraculous discovery of an idol of Lord Mahavira. According to legend, a cowherd noticed that one of his cows would return home without milk. Upon investigation, he found that the cow was emptying her milk on a particular mound daily. Curious villagers excavated the site and found a coral-colored idol of Lord Mahavira in a padmasana (lotus) posture. This event led to the construction of the temple at that spot.
