Eligibility Criteria
Residents: Any individual who has resided in India for at least 182 days in the 12 months preceding the application can enroll for Aadhaar.
Non-Resident Indians (NRIs): NRIs holding an Indian passport can apply for Aadhaar immediately without fulfilling the 182-day residency requirement.
Foreigners: Foreign nationals residing in India for more than 182 days in the past 12 months are eligible.

Enrolment Procedure
Aadhaar Generation and Delivery
Processing takes up to 90 days.
Aadhaar is sent to your registered address.
Download e-Aadhaar from the UIDAI portal.
Special Considerations
For Children (Below 5 Years)
Biometrics are not captured.
Aadhaar is linked to the parent’s Aadhaar.
Mandatory biometric update at age 5.
For Children (5 to 15 Years)
Biometrics collected and require reconfirmation at age 15.
For Senior Citizens and Disabled Individuals
If unable to provide fingerprints or iris scans, Aadhaar is issued based on alternative proofs.
