About the Temple

Shri Sapta Koteshwar Temple is a historic Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, worshipped as Sapta Koteshwar. Located in Narve village, it was a principal shrine of the Kadamba kings and later rebuilt by Shivaji Maharaj in the 17th century after destruction by Portuguese forces.

It features a Goan-style structure with a white dome, Deepa Stambha, spacious mandap, and a sacred tirtha (tank). Its scenic and spiritual setting makes it ideal for meditative visits and religious rituals.
