The temple was established by Swami Sambha Shiva Murthy in 1980 with the aim of installing 1 crore (10 million) Shivalingas. The complex is vast and beautifully maintained, featuring a 108-ft tall main Shivalinga and a 35-ft tall Nandi (bull), which is among the largest in the world. Devotees can sponsor and install lingas with their names engraved.
