The Masrur Rock Cut Temples are a group of monolithic rock-cut temples carved from a single sandstone rock in the Nagara style of architecture. Believed to date back to the 8th century, these temples are dedicated primarily to Lord Shiva, Vishnu, and Devi.
Temple Description
The complex contains 15 rock-cut temples, with the central shrine believed to be dedicated to Lord Shiva, surrounded by subsidiary shrines. The temples are elaborately sculpted and show influences of both North Indian and South Indian architectural styles. The design resembles the famed Kailasa Temple at Ellora.
