Vigneshwara Temple in Ozar is one of the eight revered Ashtavinayak temples of Lord Ganesha in Maharashtra. It is located on the banks of the Kukadi River in the Junnar taluka of Pune district. This temple holds immense spiritual significance and is believed to be the place where Lord Ganesha defeated the demon Vignasura, who created obstacles for the gods.

Temple Description

The temple has a majestic entrance with intricate carvings and sculptures. Its sanctum sanctorum houses a self-manifested (Swayambhu) idol of Lord Ganesha with the trunk turned to the left. The idol is flanked by his consorts Riddhi and Siddhi. The temple is surrounded by a stone wall and has a spacious courtyard with a deepstambha (lamp tower) and a Nandi-like mouse statue facing the deity.
