Focus Time
Work with focus, rest with purpose
The Pomodoro technique is a time-management method where you work for a fixed focus period, take a short break, and repeat the cycle. It helps you avoid distractions, reduce mental tiredness, and complete tasks step by step.
What is Pomodoro?
Pomodoro is a focus technique based on working in small time blocks. One complete cycle usually includes focused work followed by a break. The most common pattern is 25 minutes of work and 5 minutes of rest.
The main idea is simple: focus on one task, avoid switching, and give your brain regular rest.
Why use it?
- It makes big tasks feel smaller and easier to start.
- It reduces procrastination by giving you a clear time limit.
- It helps you stay away from distractions during focus time.
- It prevents burnout by adding planned breaks.
- It helps track how much real focus time you completed.
Purpose of this timer
This timer is designed to help students, workers, creators, and learners manage their work sessions. You can set focus minutes, select short or long breaks, choose automatic or manual mode, and track your focus progress.
The dashboard keeps controls separate so the front screen remains clean and easy to use.
When should you use it?
- Studying for exams or learning new topics.
- Writing blog posts, reports, or assignments.
- Coding, designing, editing, or research work.
- Cleaning, planning, reading, or personal productivity tasks.
How to use the Pomodoro Timer

Before starting, decide one clear task. Example: “Read chapter 2” or “Write blog introduction”.
Set focus time
Open the dashboard and set Focus Minutes. The default 25 minutes is good for most users.
Select break type
Choose Short Break for quick rest or Long Break when you need more recovery time.
Pick timer mode
Use Automatic mode for continuous cycles. Use Manual mode if you want to start every interval yourself.
Start focusing
Click Start and work only on the selected task until the focus timer finishes.
Take your break
When focus time ends, take the selected break. Music can play during break time if audio is selected.
