Tenughat Thermal Power Station (TTPS) is a coal-fired power plant located at Lalpania, Bokaro district, Jharkhand. It is operated by Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Ltd (TVNL), a Government of Jharkhand undertaking.
Description
The plant has an installed capacity of 420 MW (2×210 MW units commissioned in 1996 & 1997). It uses coal from nearby collieries and water from the Tenughat Reservoir. It plays a crucial role in supplying electricity to the state.
