The Kulpakji Jain Temple, located in Nalgonda, Telangana, is a significant pilgrimage site for the Jain community. It is an ancient temple believed to be over 2,000 years old, dedicated to Lord Rishabhanatha, the first Tirthankara of Jainism. The temple houses stunning idols of Jain Tirthankaras, with the main deity being a striking 5-foot-tall idol of Lord Rishabhanatha, made of a single stone.
Temple DescriptionThe temple houses three main idols:
Lord Rishabhanatha (Adinath): The primary deity, known locally as Manikyaswami, is carved from green stone.
Lord Neminatha
Lord Mahavira: This idol is approximately 130 centimeters tall and is said to be made from a single piece of jade.
The temple's interior features red sandstone and white marble, adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures. There are also eight idols of other Tirthankaras along the sides of the main temple.
